Kusaki is a small vegetarian Japanese small plate eatery. It is wonderful. The menu is unique and all he food is fresh and just wonderful. The staff is very kind and will help you with the menu. The staff seems to love their job and is very attentive to you. You can just keep ordering or order all at once. It is up to you. They have take away and I assume delivery, but I am not positive. The presentation of the food is just lovely. We love it all. Their YUZU AVOCADO CRISPY RICE is is a Kusaki favorite. It is topped with yuzu koshu guac and microgreens and dressed with house ponzu. Their King Mushroom Roll as fresh mushrooms, Asparagus, Furikake, Ponzu, with Micro Greens. You will also love their Miso Brownie Brittlefor desert. It is wonderful with cocoa powder, maple syrup, sweet potato, brown sugar, sesame seed, Miso ice cream, and coconut milk. There is not one thing you will not like here. It is somewhat pricey, but worth it.

This restaurant is amazing! I loved that the menu consisted of nigiri, sashimi and sushi! I liked that there was such a variety of ingredients being used and the dishes are so unique from other Japanese restaurants I've been to! I liked how personable and helpful our waiter was and he made great recommendations when we had no idea what to order! My personal favorites were the sesame tofu and the crab rolls. I also found the dessert to be a standout! Regardless, everything was so tasty and the texture was spot on! I loved the seasonings and sauces and I appreciated how fresh everything was. I also loved the ambiance and since we dined pretty early in the evening, it wasn't noisy. I can't wait to return and try more dishes!

Two words, food art. Came here for the Omakase. We loved it. If you come on a weekday, it's not as busy and the chefs have more time to talk to you about the dishes and chat. Everyone here was so lovely and attentive. We got to try a lot of food and everything was delicious and most everything blew us away. Highly recommend.

I had the 15 course omasake it was delightful. I had chef Pablo as my company and he was fantastic. Everything looked like art and the textures and flavors were perfect. The only thing I didn’t like was dessert but by then I was already full anyway! Highly recommend. I went on Tuesday night and I was the only one at the bar so chef Pablo took extra time to explain everything and make me comfortable. I would suggest try to to go on a day it’s not packed, for a personal laid back experience. All the rolls they made for the tables looked fantastic. I took way too many pictures here a few of my favorites. Thanks Pablo ! The last picture is when I arrived and I left with an even bigger smile, this place will not disappoint you.

I am sad to see this place close down, but hopefully it's temporary! I came and ate here on the last day. We did the 10 course meal and it was great. The chefs made the food right in front of us and told us a bit about everything we were eating. It was such an intimate dining experience. And the Vegan Japanese based food was top notch. The different flavors in each dish, leave you craving for more. I have done 10 course meals at similar Japanese / Asian restaurants before, but this one takes #1 easily. I was told that they will do pop-ups from time to time. I will definitely be visiting those!

This is my favourite vegan restaurant! I know I might be biased because I interviewed Chef Pearl for CHIP Conversations but that wouldn’t be possible if I didn’t have a great time at her omakase! Not only was the food great but I learned so much fun facts about the food, the way it was prepared and the team as well. I love how I’m able to enjoy an omakase without harming animals. Loved the presentation of each plate and great customer service as well. Next time I’m in LA I’m definitely going back and I hope in the meantime everyone can enjoy their cool popups!

Incredible! My husband and I dined here a few months ago and had an amazing time. The food was SO delicious, and the service was wonderful. We were pleasantly surprised as neither of us are vegan. My husband loves sushi and seafood, and I actually don't like raw fish-- and we both LOVED all of the dishes we had. The photos show the mushroom tempura, salmon sashimi, tuna sashimi, won tons, and spicy tuna crispy rice. Every dish was unique and so flavourful. We also tried a few others items that we didn't get a chance to take pictures of. We will be back for sure!

Best vegan sushi I’ve ever had! I’m not personally vegan but I would absolutely eat this regularly!! Got Omakase from chef Pearl and each dish was such a perfect substitute for the meat versions, they really looked and tasted just like the fish they were replacing! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, the entire staff were having a lot of fun and really seemed like a family :)) If you’re in LA, you should definitely try it. Perfect for a romantic date or fun night out with friends!
